Something Wicked This Fae Comes.... a 3rd Coast project!

Can you feel all the creatures of the night getting restless as the scariest month of the year fast approaches?  If you dare to look into the fog on the night of a full moon you just might be able to make out some ghostly shapes of all the creatures of the Fae drawing near!

Here's my 1st Halloween project of the year designed for week 1 of the new challenge over at the Third Coast Challenge Blog - TCCC#5 Something Wicked This Fae (way) Comes Bingo Challenge.

I used the following Third Coast Rubber Stamps on this one:
VB-237-L Devilment, VB-291-P Batty for Halloween, FA-494-K Grave Digger, VB-299-P Halloween Queen, VB-300-J Pumpkin Princess, CH-183-J Sign Stump, VB-041-EE Happy Bat Sm.

As you already know I'm a huge fan of fantasy/scifi and LOVED the X-Files, love Supernatural and now I'm currently watching Lost Girl and this new show calls the creatures of the magical world, Fae!

"Fae" is just another word for all people/creatures that belong in the magical, supernatural, paranormal, mythical or fantasy world.  So basically there's humans and then there's Fae.  Ghosts, werewolves, succubi, vampires, dragons, mermaids, fairies, witches and all kinds of monsters, demons and beasts of both good and evil fall under the classification of Fae!

From the TCCC#5 Bingo Grid I selected the following 3 elements:
Purple, Fae, Glitter and went with Black too!

The 3 elements for the challenge must be in a row where all the blocks touch and the row can run either horizontally, vertically or diagonally.

'Alice in Pink' a Steampunk Pink Third Coast Project!

Hello Everyone!
We're half way through the Steampunk Pink challenge I'm hosting over at the Third Coast Creative Challenge blog and here's my latest inspiring creation titled 'Alice in Pink'.

I went mostly with the baby pink colour scheme for this project even though I usually prefer darker pinks.  But it works for me coz I like the menacing and quirky vibe of the 'Snow White-esque meets Alice' twisted world with the looming evil Queen of Hearts watching Alice's every move in her magic mirror.

Click on the photo on the left if you missed seeing my first Steampunk Pink creation titled "Steampunk Caprica 6" - inspired by my idea of what BSG's Caprica 6 Cylon would have looked like if she existed in the 'Firefly' verse ;0)

Hello Everyone!
It's challenge time again at Blockheads Paper Arts and this time design team member, Barb, has a demo on how to make a super easy and super fun pocket card.  Check out her tutorial and get all the info on how to enter the challenge here!

Here's my take on the pocket card.  I know most of you hear the call of the Coffee Siren or at least know someone who does.  Here's a little giftie idea that is suitable for any occasion and a perfect stocking stuffer for all those coffee junkies ;0)
